Start of the war that ends all wars (West)

A blood-red line tore through the fabric of time and space, tearing open a massive dimension rift large enough for a Menos Grand, to go through. It was from the rift that the spiritual pressure of thousands of hollows poured out rapidly filling the West area of Soul Society. A man with long blond hair stepped out of the rift. It was the Tricera Espada, Hexaile. He looked around and sighed as he observed the entire area. "A warning to the people, the good and the evil. This is war. To the shinigami, the civilian, the martyr, the victim. This is war." He said with a relaxed voice, and a carefree and emotionless look on his face. The wind breezed through his long blond hair. Both his hands were located in his pockets. It was a common fact that Hexaile was a hand to hand expert. Despite not using his Zanpakutō in battle, he relied mostly with his bare hands. His hands were enough to make him a dangerous opponent. He rarely drew out his Zanpakutō at all until he deemed his opponenet worthy enough.

Thousands of hollows ran through Soul Society causing chaos and destruction followed by screams and battle cries of countless shinigami. The element of surprise was on the Espada's side. A group of shinigami appeared on the scene to hold off the large amount of hollows. They stood, dazzled, in their place, petrified, scared and above all shocked. An adjuchas appeared behind one of them and delivered a blow to a female shinigami's head as she was sent into a wall, head first, where it cracked and split open, letting the glorious blood spill all around her. All the hollows roared out of happiness. "It has been a while right? Spilling the blood of a shinigami." Hexaiel spoke to the hollows, adjuchas and gillians. It was just a matter of time before Hexaile's comrades would arrive at the West section to aid him. The small group of rookie shinigami were completely devoured by the hollows. "It's the moment of truth and the moment to lie. The moment to live and the moment to die. The moment to fight, the moment to fight. To fight, to fight, to fight!" Hexaile said as his voice turned louder motivating all the hollows to keep on fighting.

Lightning had recieved the hell butterfly that the captain commander had sent out, she was running towards the west to defend the postition. Was this the threat the spirit king had told her about? was this what she was to aid the Gotei 13 against? Why did she choose the west? She had seen the rip tear through the sky from quite a distance away, the west was merely the closest to her. A scream echoed throughout the area, from the tone Lightning knew it was a female. She clenched her fist as she realised she was missing the fight already. Why the heck were they invading the seretei anyway? And why had the Gotei 13 not had any warning? She was not impressed at the current situation. Lightning felt the reiatsu of the captain commander be released from the east, at least the east has a strong warrior

Lightning turned the corner in time to hear a rather interesting motivational speech coming from an Espada. Lightning clapped her applause for his words in a mocking manner. "Bravo.....quite the motivation if i do say so myself" her words dripped with sarcasm as she walked calmly to the rookie shinigami facing the enemies.

The war had begun. This wasn't the best time for it either, Byakuya had to admit. But then again, when was a good time for war? It was a cool day, which was good since no one would get heat stroke or pass out from the heat. Unfortunately though, there had been a big storm the previous day. The grounds were muddy, and trees had fallen across some of the streets. If you didn't like getting your clothes and shoes dirty, like Byakuya surely didn't, this wasn't a good day to be out trying to win a battle. But oh well.

Byakuya, the 6th division captain, had been in his office, trying to finish his paperwork to turn in tomorrow (two days early of course) when he had gotten a hell butterfly from Reikou Yuuri, the captain commander.

"This is a urgent message from Reikou Yuuri...All captains and lieutenants, the espadas has begun their attack, return immediately to the seireitei, and aid us in battle… everyone below vice captain rank, evacuka as much water and equipment you can and gather at point 3..if you run into the espada leader, inform me immediately and flee, do not try to take him down yourself, i repeat, DO NOT attempt to take him down by yourself..."

Immedietly, Byakuya had put his papers aside, and set out to look for the attackers. With a sigh he walked down the dismal streets, trying to feel the Espada's energy. This wasn't supposed to happen, he thought, annoyed. After Aizen's death the Espada were supposed to retreat and never bother the shinigami again. He had thought they would be too afraid, too weak to even think about attacking. But obviously that was not the case, and there must be some reason for it. Stupid as the arrancar could be, Byakuya knew even they wouldn't attack if they didn't think they had any chance of winning. They must not be alone, Byakuya figured. Someone must be aiding them. Or perhaps they got a new leader. Hopefully one who wasn't as powerful as Aizen.

Suddenly there was a scream from the west, and Byakuya scolded himself for not having felt the spiritual energy earlier. Quickly, he flash-stepped to where the sounds were coming from. He immediately felt a strong spiritual presence, and glanced around to see a long blond haired man that was obviously an Espada. The man seemed to be holding a speech. Quite foolish. Byakuya saw his lieutenant and a small crowd of shinigami nearby, and immediately appeared near them. "It seems the time has come to face our enemies again," he said coolly, drawing his zanpakuto. He looked his lieutenant in the eyes, standing in front of her. "Are you ready?"

Kira was in his office completing his paper that was do soon. When he heard large noises coming from outside the window. He then raised his curved blond eyebrow slightly before standing up. As he reach the window and hell butterfly landed. Kira made a face at it in his thoughts and then held out his finger. Upon seeing his finger held out the butterfly flew and landed. As soon as it landed he heard Yuuri sans voice. Which answered he question to what was going on outside. Kira sighed slightly upon hearing that the espada had invaded the soul society.

As the butterfly flew away he grabbed his zanpaktou and stuffed it into his obi. Before jumping out the window and began jumping buildings at top speed. Eventually the blond came to the west side where he was assigned. Looking up he saw a blond espada standing in the sky. Also around he saw hollow terrorizing lower ranked. Flash stepping to the ground he saw the Captain and Vice Captain of squad six. Well at least i have back up he thought in a bored tone to himself. Looking to the ground he saw an injured women. The blond knew healing but, she seemed already dead.

Looking to the other shingami he remove his zanpaktou from his holder and waited. It was quite for a bit and wondered who would make the first move.

Telma Reikatsu, the liuetenant of the 2nd Division and Vice Captain to Soifon, was busy in her office, shuffling the last of her paperwork onto the desk. She picked up another stack. Suddenly, the small black butterfly fluttered through the window, landing on her shoulder. The papers dropped from her hands, time seemed as if it was frozen while the message ran through her mind. She blinked, regaining focus as she turned towards the younger shinigami in the barracks. She pointed at certain items they would need and herded them all to follow her quickly. She let a older more experienced shinigami lead them to a safer area out of the way of any Espada and Arrancars, warning them not to take on any of those stronger then them. Telma shunpo'd away, hearing screams from broad directions. She started to run to the eastern direction, her heart thumping and her body flowing with the feeling of adrenaline as she heard more screams. She spotted Captain Izuru-sama and ran to him, out of breath. "Izuru-sama......what's...what's going on?!" Telma cried out, a look of panic upon her face. She whipped her zanpaktou out of it's sheath, running forward to slaughter minor hollows. She massacred at least a full pack of thirty of forty, before running out of breath and quiclky moving away from them. She wondered where her captain was, adn if she was alright.

A loud clapping could be heard coming from behind Hexaile followed by a sinister laughter “oh my, oh my this is going to be quite the turn out isn’t it?” he said as he finally took a spot next to Hexaile where he crouched and looked at the four shinigami that had arrived “now who do we hurt first….the captain or the weaklings? I myself could care less so long as they all die.” he said with a smile and he turned his head to look at Hexaile and awaited a response.

Between the two groups, the air was ripped apart. A 16-18 year old looking girl, standing 5.6, with lightbrown skin, yellow eyes and waistlong darkbrown hair came out of it. She was wearing a west in the usual white and black colors of the espada uniform, but it was only closed with a single strap at her narvel, causing her D-sized chest to be just coverd. Around her waist she was wearing some sort of half-mini skirt that reached down to her knees, but only coverd her bottom and the backside of her thights, allowing much movement. On her legs she was wearing some odd shorts, were the right leg went all the way down to her ankel, and the other just reached to the middle of her thight. Just under the short leg, the number 6th was tattoed, meaning she was the 6th espada, Kuromo Amata, the former fraccion of Nnoitora, who had been promoted to the 8th espada, and now the 6th. She was wearing normal flat shoes, which seemend to be the only thing normal about her attire. Some would say it was abit daring due to the waist, but if you compared it to most of the fraccion`s attires, hers wasen`t so revealing, since she was actually one of the few female espada/fraccion`s who wore pants.

"Hexaile-baka, i told you to wake me up..", she said as she rubbed her forehead. Her sword was hanging loosly in its holster on her back, and she turned her head towards Kira and let out a little sigh. "Neh..your Izuru Kira arent ya?...dont worry, i wont kill you...i made a stupid promise to gin-foxy face about it..". She then looked at Telma and a little smink came accros her face. "Wanna fight girly?". She held her hand toweards telma and a cero fired out of her hand towards her.

Hexaile looked around and observed the entire area as Alastar asked him a question. "Alastar, take down the strongest opponent first. The weak ones shall fall into the mercy that you will not grant them." He used his Pesquisa to find the best opponents. "Alastar and Amata, take on whoever you wanna take on. Don't get in my way." He said with an emotionless and carefree voice. He had his hands in his pockets as usual, showing no sign of interest in anybody. He sighed and took out his hands out of his pocket as he kept looking around. He appeared ten feet behind Blade using his Sonido as he pointed his finger at his neck "Cero." and fired a golden colored Cero.

Lightning's captain Byakuya Kuchiki appeared in front of her, staring deep into her light blue eyes as he asked her if she was ready for the battle. She returned his gaze in kind not faulting under his cold glare. "need you ask?"

Almost as if timed beforehand more shinigami arrived for the battle; Iziru Kira, Telma Reikatsu, and a man whom seemed to be on their side. Lightning adjusted her gloves slightly in preparation for the upcoming fight as she counted her blessings that is was a cool day, heat was not something she could deal with well. The storm the previous day had Lightning feeling confident and had her Zanpaktou full of pent up energy and raring to go. Finally the weather was on her side. Lightning's gaze turned to the now dead rookie female shinigami laying not too far from them. "perhaps the rookies should fall back from the front line"

The blonde-haired leader of the Espada took the first strike, appearing behind the man aiding the Soul Society and firing a golden cero towards him. This was it the battle had truly begun. Lightning focused her stone cold glare on the adjuchas nearby, this would be her first kill. She raised her right arm out to her side as she materialised her Zanpaktou. Light pink, glowing particles began to swirl rapidly around her hand forming her blade before flashing and disappearing leaving behind her Zanpaktou gripped firmly in her hand. In a battle against many it was Lightning's usual method to use no more than necessary to defeat her current target, this prevented the others learning of her power and abilities before it was their turn to taste them.

Lightning walked calmly towards the adjuchas that would soon be feeling her blade sinking into it's flesh. She approached with light footsteps her face calm and emotionless and her gaze never leaving her target. The Adjuchas charged towards her with a scream that would cause those not used to it to shudder in fear. It's first attack came from it's arm, it swung it's oversized and bloodied claws at Lightning smiling at it imagined sinking them into her flesh. With a well timed shunpo right before the blows contact Lightning appeared behind the adjuchas. She swung her blade horizontally with enough force that should have easily sliced through the flesh of her opponent, however the blade met instant resistance from the body of the adjuchas. Her blade only sank in by an inch before meeting a solid. Lightning ducked the now angry adjuchas's claw as he turned and grabbed towards her. Lightning backflipped several times, giving herself some space between her and her opponent.

Byakuya almost smiled. Of course his lieutenant was ready. She always was. He didn't need to ask. The 6th division captain glanced around, taking in the scene. Kira Izuru, the 3rd division captain had arrived. Byakuya had doubts on whether Kira really deserved the captain status, but if anything would prove the young man's eligibility, it would be this battle. The 2nd division lieutenant had also arrived, but he pretty much ignored her. He didn't know anything about her or how well she could fight, but hopefully she'd be useful.

There came a loud clap, almost deafening, and Byakuya looked up to see another arrancar join the first. Even though the arrancar were outnumbered, they seemed pretty confident, Byakuya noted. In this situation, confidence wasn't necessarily a good thing. Being overly confident meant you would go easy on the enemy, thinking you would win. Byakuya shook his head. Were the arrancar that naive?

Sensing another approaching reigetsu, Byakuya glanced around, making sure not to take his eyes off the arrancar for two long, and saw another shinigami. Actually, it wasn't just any shinigami, but the ex 6th division captain. Byakuya had met him once when he became captain, but that was it. He didn't know anything about the man, but he figured since he had once been a captain, that he was pretty strong. Yes, the arrancar were greatly outnumbered.... at least for now.

From the right came a female voice, and out of the corner of his eye Byakuya saw another arrancar approach. It looked like she was going to fight Telma, and the first arrancar was focusing on Blade. Lightning was starting to fight as well. Byakuya assumed he should begin, wanting to end this quickly.

Using Senka, a special Shunpo technique in which Byakuya mastered, he appeared behind Nero, cutting off his spiritual energy flow. "It seems you should have attacked earlier, he said coldly, and raised his zanpakuto in front of him. "Chire Senbonzakura," he murmured, and the zanpakuto dissolved, forming what looked like a million pink sakura petals. Though they looked harmless, they were really sharp needles which cut through flesh in an instant. The needles swirled all around, and came at Alaster from all directions.

((Senka (閃花, Flash Blossom): a special Shunpo technique where one moves to their opponent's back, directly attacking and sealing one's "Saketsu" and "Hakusui" in one strike (effectively cutting them off of their spiritual energy flow). This attack is his favorite to use. The movement is so fast that an opponent may not be able to tell whether he was attacked from the front or the back and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are.

Shikai Special Ability: In its Shikai, Senbonzakura's blade separates into a thousand slender, tiny blade fragments, which then fly away from the hilt, leaving only the sword's handle in Byakuya's hand. The release can be negated before it completes, such as when Yoruichi Shihōin wrapped the blade in cloth during Byakuya's short battle with Ichigo. However, if the release completes itself, then Senbonzakura is rendered near-unstoppable. While the blades are supposedly too small to be seen normally, they reflect light in such a way as to appear as cherry blossom petals. By swinging Senbonzakura's hilt, Byakuya can control the blade fragments at will, allowing him to shred opponents at a distance and break through almost any defense.))

A dash of red, scarlet line cut though the air and a rip of space started to open, everything inside was dark and swirling with energy beyond comparison. A person might die in there if not careful enough but the person who stepped out was not one you might call a human. She stood 6 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a white kimono-like uniform which draped her so well that she could be mistaken as a Geisha. Her soft, lovely hair was tied to a bun-like feature, with many ornaments on her hair such as decorative needles and flowers. She held her blade with pride from her left hand, it’s beauty matches her composure as a Geisha but she was again no normal person, or should I say even a pure soul?

“My my.. What have we here..” Escarlata said as she spotted someone fighting an adjuchas. She then snapped her fingers and the adjuchas slowly moved backwards, loyal to her command as she was a higher ranking than him. “Welcome to our bloodbath.. Welcome to the stage.. Welcome to eternity’s end..” Escarlata said with the emotions of a poet as she walked slowly towards the Shinigami. She stopped with just enough distance. “Welcome to the climax..” She added with a malicious smile.

Lightning landed the last backflip with ease, the adjuchas may have been strong but he definately wasn't a fast one. She prepared to attack once more only to pause and watch as the Adjuchas backed away almost like a dog that had been scolded by it's master. Lightning turned her gaze towards the approaching enemy, her face cold and emotionless and her eyes almost looking straight through her foe. An almost freakishly tall looking arrancar was walking slowly towards her speaking of utter rubbish, or at least that's what Lightning dismissed it as. Lightning was a tall woman standing at 5 foot 10 inches, but this woman was .....at least 6 foot 5 inches. freakish she thought once more. the bigger they are the harder they fall she thought to herself as the arrancar stopped her approach. Her malicious smile did nothing to phase Lightning as she remained calm and cold in appearance.

Lightning couldn't miss the chance to taunt her opponent "well hello, what's the weather like up there" Lightning smile became a mixture of sinister and cheeky as she finished her taunt.
"Come now i dont have all day" Lightning taunted her new opponent into combat.

James was awoken up from his nap by a loud noise. Opening his eye's he got out of bed standing at his full height of 7'2" and looked outside. All he could see was hollows reacking havoc and all he could hear was, " This is a urgent message from Reikou Yuuri...All captains and lieutenants, the espadas has begun their attack, return immediately to the seireitei, and aid us in battle… everyone below vice captain rank, evacuka as much water and equipment you can and gather at point 3..if you run into the espada leader, inform me immediately and flee, do not try to take him down yourself, i repeat, DO NOT attempt to take him down by yourself..." It was annoying.

He closed his window to quite things down and sat down and yawned. Then it hit him, " SHIT. WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!. " He jumped up and pulled Penny from her sheath. Just as he did that a Hollow burst though teh wall and impaled its head on his sword.

James shrugged and wlaked through the hole. Looking for anyone he knew. He snesed everyone by their specific Riegetsu. He immediatly indentified every Espada, Hollow and Shinigami. " Penny... It is time to play, Time to Slay. " He said as Penny was released into her Shikai. A 14 foot sword of awsome. He then began to run around in search of a captian, the closest one being byakuya. he was too far away, but Lieutenant Reikatsu was nearby so he went to her.

Spoiler:

A garganta opened up above all those fighting, and Zephyr made his way onto the battlefield. Everyone seemed to be matched up, there were more shinigami then arrancar yet that meant nothing. The foes that they were facing werent the most powerful around, on advanced captain, a captain and then subordinates. Perfect, Zephyr would surely survive this with all his troops. He sonidod down to the captain apparently named Izuru Kira. A wicked smile formed across the espadas face. Small fangs could be seen as he eyed up the captain, however he also felt another weaker shinigami closing in on the area. Nothing to worry about of course.

Zephyr looked at the foe, and simply tested his resolve. He shot a cero at the captian, and then vanished. Apparently using a sonido but he was untraceable for a moment, just when the cero was being struck upon the opponent he was above the captian. He cocked back his right arm and then shot a mid leveled bala at the foe, smiling all teh while. The opponents battle style would be determined upon his reaction, thought Zephyr.

Telma watched in slight shock and awe as everyone battled. She had a feeling this wouldn't end well, with many casualties on both sides. All Telma could hope for was the most casualties on the Espada's side. She was aware that she herself may even become a casualty of the war, but at least she would die in the honor of fighting for her home. She curiously wondered where her Captain Soifon was, until she recognized a female voice talking to her. "Wanna fight girly?" Was what Telma heard coming from the mouth of the female women, most likely an Espada. she turned aronud, though she saw the Cero flying towards her at last minute. She shunpo'd to the left, though it wasn't quick enough. Her shoulder got scorched by the Cero, leaving Telma with a screech of pain. She glared at the woman, unsheathing her zanpaktou, Roiyadarei. "Poisen the soul, Roiyadarei!" Telma shouted above the hassel of the crowd. Her zanpaktou flashed and was replaced with a red handled katana, in the left was a black one. She pointed the the black one at the girl. "C'mon, think a stupid cero is gonna take me down? Attempt failed, try again." Telma said grimly to her.

Nero wasn’t truly all there in the head and proof of this was the face that he had a good eye on all of the shinigami in the area and not once let the arrivals of two other espada deviate his attention away from the shinigami.

Just then Before Nero could do anything he felt someone behind him, looking slightly over his shoulder he could see that one of the captains had made the choice of attacking him. As Byakuya stated the release of his zanpakutou, Nero could notice a cut off to his own spiritual pressure….no matter this would just make things interesting. As the many blade like petals struck Nero he simply felt no pain and thought this would be a good point to bring up to the captain, so while being hit with the petals Nero slowly turned all the way around coming face to face with the captain and then without any warning Nero drew his sword rather fast and attempted to slash the captain from the lower left sternum to the right shoulder.

As Nero did this a smile appeared on his face that stretched from ear to ear and was soon followed but a loud laugh “Oh that was very good…very good indeed but, I’m afraid you’ll have to try a whole lot harder” as Nero said this, the various small cuts in his arms and back began to heal and close.

A Bala came out of the darkness and hit the other bala. Zilo bala was as strong as a cero so he was certani it would break through the other espada bala blast he came walking up looking around he noticed the several shinigami there and chuckled lightly to himself before noticing the byakuya kuchiki was here he smiled slightly and saw the other shinigami guessing they where lower seats he walked over to the man Byakuya that he had heard about that fought yammy long ago and nearly succeeded in killing him he sighed softly before speaking to the espada above the captain. "You know when he is fighting another person it is rude to double team a man with his back turn towards ya."

Zilo looked over to the man beside him the captain he had presumed and stuck his blade in front of the man that was hit from the petals he seemed to also be a strong opponent finally he had something to look forward too considering that there wasn't really much choice left in the matter he had to ensure that the Soul society lived because he knew that if they had died there would be a flood of hollows and that wouldn't be good. Sides if they had vanished he had nothing to do. He liked finding shinigami and their reaction to the giant man but he never would harm them he thought about it for a minute and cleared it from his head and looked over at the two girls fighting the Lt. and the espada. "I hope you don't mind me stopping your attack mister. But as i told the espada above me it is rude to Double team a single person.

He pulled his blade back and looked at the man he had stopped from slicing byakuya and then turned around and looked at byakuya. "I am truly sorry that i must interfere with your fight but i don't think you will mind the help here at all would you?" He asked knowing that byakuya despised Espadas more then anything and probably wants nothing to with them but he had to offer his help in some way or form so that he could insure that this place was going to make it knowing that the other espadas are currently stronger then the ones they are facing right now he had hopped for a response quickly and before byakuya could say anything he looked at the two espadas. "If you don't mind i will be fighting you people as well today." He let out a small smile.

Byakuya watched the arrancar carefully, not letting his guard down. Even though he had hit the other with his shikai, he couldn't underestimate his opponent. Underestimating was how people got killed, and Byakuya surely didn't want to be killed. And it turned out that observing Nero was a good thing. Byakuya's blades didn't seem to hurt the other at all, but instead the cuts started to heal. Byakuya frowned slightly, still studying the other. He had never seen a technique like this before. But even if they other could heal small wounds, it didn't mean he could heal big wounds. And, just because the other didn't feel the pain, it didn't mean Byakuya's blades didn't do any damage. This could actually be an advantage, Byakuya thought to himself, still watching the other. If he doesn't feel pain, that means he won't know how much damage I'm really doing. And then I could nearly kill him without him noticing and trying hard to stop me. Yes, this was an advantage indeed.

Byakuya felt someone beside him and glanced at Zilo. The man seemed to be an Espada. So why was he helping him? No matter, there was time to question that later. After all, he could always fight the other then. Right now he had to focus his attention on the other Espada. "Do what you wish," he said coldly, his gaze traveling back to Nero. "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!" He said loudly, as six beams of light appeared, flying at Nero at an incredible speed.


((61. Rikujōkōrō Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
Incantation: "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!"

Kidō Master: Byakuya has displayed his knowledge of high level Kidō spells, able to cast several in quick succession without the incantation and with almost no effort and still possessing formidable power. He has been shown to use spells up to level 81 and possesses advanced knowledge of Kidō application and consistency. He can use low-level spells with devastating effects, as well as a counter to attacks. He even uses a low-level lightning spell to burn a hole right through Ichigo's shoulder))

(OOC:I was attacking Kira, not Byakuya. I said that in my post soooo yeah im not involved in the little Zilo post.)

Amata rubbed the back of her neck slightly and looked at Telma with a tired look. "I`m only the 6th espada and firing only one cero has caused your shoulder to be burned...this fight wont take long..". Amata held out her hand towards Telma, and black reaitsu resembling fire engulfed her entire arm. "..Shadow creatures". 5 balls of black reaitsu shot out from her arm, and formed into wolf-sized creatures with long fangs and claws. They were walking on all four, and they resembled lions abit. A burst of spiritual preassure filled the air, causing the ground to shake for a few moments.

Amata lifted her other hand and held it towards Telma, lowering the other hand which was engulfed with her black reaitsu. "Cero..". Yet anthoder cero fired from her hand, and as it was shot towards Telma, the shadow beings attacked, oppening their jaws, ready to tear her apart.

Escarlata raised her right eyebrow while lowering her left. So the lady wants to battle so much but sadly, Escarlata does not have time to play but still playing a little wont hurt. “Ahh..
