A Day on the Job Empty
PostSubject: A Day on the Job   A Day on the Job EmptyTue Aug 31, 2010 1:33 pm

It was a full moon that night. The sky was clear and beautiful, with the stars gleaming, and the pale light of the moon shining on the field, depicting an all too familiar scene, to those who could see it of course.

Being a 4th seat meant several trips out to the human world quite often, and tonight was no different from the rest. Nichondri and his team of 3 other shinigami had been sent out to Karakura town to deal with a few hollows that had pooped up. Eugh wats the point, they arent even a challenge. He thought to himself. It was true, the hollows were less than average so why a 4th seat was needed let alone any shinigami were required in karakura town, the town famous for having strange spiritual or 'special' humans everywhere.

He sighed to himself and looked up at the moon. It was a good night to be out however he did prefer it back in the 8th Divisions barracks. Who knows, the captain could be up to his usual drunken antics again, he thought silently to himself. Suddenly a shadow appeared over him, another hollow, larger than the previous had appeared behind him.

With a quick flick of his zanpakuto at the monsters legs, causing the large creature to fall down. It lunged at him but he quickly did a shunpo behind the hollow's head and delivered a quick final blow, finishing the hollow. He sighed and sat down on the grass. A hell butterfly landed upon his finger while he relayed a message to return home once they had finished to his comrades. However despite the weak hollows and the quiet, peacful night, he couldnt shake the feeling, that something was wrong.

Okashii walked absentmindedly along, basking in the soft glow cast from the moon above. To anybody who looked at him they would guess that he was very deep in thought, on something that looked like it could be revolutionary, but those people would be sorely disappointed should they actually look into his mind. While he was thinking hard, it was on what he would eat for lunch the next day - pasta was looking like a very good choice at the moment; maybe creamy chicken pasta with asparagus... Yum...

Suddenly a movement caught his attention and he turned to see the shadow of a bird as it flew over head, and he stood entranced for a good few minutes as his constantly wandering mind was distracted yet again. However, he sensed a group of people near by emitting reiatsu, so without hesitating - he never did - he shunpoed toward the source in curiosity. Once he got there he saw a small group of shinigami in an empty field.

"What'cha doing?" He cocked his head to the side, trying to think of all reasons a group of shinigami could have to be in Karakura Town - there were a lot of reasons he could think of.

They were all set to head home, the rest of his squad had returned, when a strange figure appeared not far off from his squad. The moonlight was shining from behind him so his face was hiddden, but he seemed to have cocked his head, and then spoke, strangely asking them what they were doing. "What a strange question, i am a shinigami am i not? Why else would i be here? To protect against hollows!" He spoke quickly and hasrhly, he did not trust this man.

And thats when he noticed it, something was strange with him, he felt like a shinigami, and must be if he was able to shunpo, yet there was something ... hollow about him, seemed the only way to describe it. Was he an arrancar? If he was then his team was outmatched by far, even if it was a fraccion there would likely be others. Sweat began to drop from his forehead and his sword felt heavy, but he kept a cool face in front of his men. "Just what the hell are you??"
